Le Mans Model Collection (Claude Nahum) – Octane Publication of the Year nominee

Publication of the Year nominee - Octane

We are delighted to find ourselves in such good company among the shortlist for Octane’s ‘Publication of the Year’ award. The books they choose are always high-quality motoring books, so to be selected for nomination among such a diverse and wide-ranging field is an achievement we are very proud of.

The Le Mans Model Collection is a unique set of three books, cataloguing the N Collection, which comprises models of every single car that raced at Le Mans between 1949–2009 – over 3,000 cars.

As well as stunning photographs of the models (three views of each), each entry details the team, the drivers and the performance of each car. This, together with a summary of each race and over 60 specially-commissioned paintings, makes the Le Mans Model Collection a truly outstanding document of one of the world’s most revered racing events.

Now in its seventh year, the Octane awards night is widely considered the most prestigious in the industry. Nominees are selected by a team of Octane experts, and the judging panel made up of well-known names from the industry, this year including Jay Leno, Peter Stevens and Nick Mason.

The winners will be announced on 15 November at London’s Globe Theatre – good luck to all!
