Luca Dal Monte

Luca Dal MonteLuca Dal Monte is an Italian author and biographer, born in Cremona in 1963. He has written more than 20 books, both fiction and non-fiction, with a particular focus on sport, motorsport, and biographies. His works have been widely translated and have received numerous awards across several countries. His acclaimed biography Enzo Ferrari: Power, Politics and the Making of an Automotive Empire won the Premio Selezione Bancarella Sport literary award and was shortlisted for the Royal Automobile Club’s Motoring Book of the Year Award. Described by The New York Times as ‘the definitive biography’ of Enzo Ferrari, the book has garnered multiple international prizes and has been optioned by an Academy Award–winning producer for an upcoming television series. Dal Monte’s book on the 1957 Mille Miglia tragedy and the subsequent Enzo Ferrari trial also received several distinctions, including the Diploma d’Onore from the Italian National Olympic Committee. In addition to his non-fiction work, he has published three novels and two collections of short stories.
