The Bugatti Type 57S Atlantic
AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER
Built between 1936 and 1938, the Bugatti Type 57S Atlantic is among the most celebrated cars ever created. Only four were made, and three survive today. This book tells the story of their exceptional design and enduring appeal.
Authors Julius Kruta, Pierre-Yves Laugier and Mark Morris trace the development of the Type 57S chassis and Jean Bugatti’s dramatic Atlantic coachwork. They explore Bugatti’s engineering and coachbuilding expertise, as well as the car’s connection to the marque’s racing achievements.
The book follows each of the four Atlantics from its first owner through changing fortunes, with detailed accounts of the three surviving cars and their restorations. It is a history of one of the finest achievements in pre-war motoring.
