‘An illustration that I made in 1991 for the McLaren Board to give BMW an idea of how the F1 would look. At that time BMW were very concerned with the image of the company in the light of strengthening ‘Green’ opposition to cars that were too overtly aggressive. I was able to show that the intention was that the F1 should express its efficiency rather than its aggression.’ – Peter Stevens.
