Celebrate one of the most fascinating Ford GT40s with this superb limited-edition print by Peter Harholdt. Chassis P/1049 was originally owned by Grady Davis, Gulf Oil’s vice-president and the man responsible for Gulf’s famous sponsorship of the John Wyer-managed GT40 programme.
A wonderful piece for any Ford GT40 enthusiast, Gulf racing fan, Le Mans follower or collector of historic motorsport photography, the print makes an impressive addition to an office, garage, showroom or study.
This evocative image captures the presence and significance of GT40 P/1049, a road car with remarkable competition history. In 1967 it was prepared as a Gulf entry for the Daytona 24 Hours, finishing first in class and sixth overall with Jacky Ickx and Richard ‘Dick’ Thompson.
Photographed by Peter Harholdt, this print is limited to just 50 units in total across both sizes.
Printed as a digital C-type print on 231gsm Fuji Crystal archive paper with a semi-matt finish, each print is produced to a high standard and designed to showcase the colour, depth and detail of the original photography.
Available sizes:
30cm x 42cm – 11.7 x 16.5in
