CSX2001, the first production Cobra, like so many examples of the breed, was soon put to work on the track where it carved out an enviable reputation on the race circuits and hillclimbs of France. It was the first Cobra ever entered for a race, one of only four Shelby roadsters to race at Le Mans in period, and the only one ever to contest the demanding Tour de France. This is that car, shot in 2017 courtesy of the Bruce Meyer Collection.
