The All-Conquering Porsche 956s & 962s - panel discussion
When on 22 June 1981 the Board of Directors at Porsche AG gave the green light for the development and build of a new sports-prototype, called Typ 956, little did they know that this car would become the most successful purpose-built race car in automotive history. Over the following decade the Porsche 956, and its later long-wheelbase version, the 962, would win five consecutive world championships and take victory at Le Mans seven times.
Motorsport commentator Mark Cole, will be in conversation with several legendary 956/962 pilots, including John Fitzpatrick, plus author Serge Vanbockryck and collector Henry Pearman.
