Jaguar C-type – the autobiography of XKC 051 by Chas Parker and Philip Porter. The story of the 1953 Le Mans-winning C-type and its heroic drivers is a sumptuous tome. From the cells of Colditz to the podium, from Ecurie Ecosse to America and back again, this book is impossible to put down.

Lotus 18 – the autobiography of Stirling Moss’s ‘912’ by Ian Wagstaff. The story of the car with which he took the chequered flag at the Monaco Grand Prix in 1961 without side panels is extraordinary.
