Porter Press International - New Year's Resolution

I have worked for Porter Press now for over two years and in my time here I have come to understand that our main asset is you, our customers! In the New Year, I would like to hear from you. So, I am making you my 2019 New Year’s resolution. We have many exciting titles due to be released in the New Year, such as ’One Formula’ with the amazing Gordon Murray CBE and the one I’m personally looking forward to is on the subject of the 1969 film 'The Italian Job'. As they say in the film “It's a very difficult job and the only way to get through it is if we all work together as a team’’. So, let’s work together to make 2019 ‘The Year of the Customer’.
Looking back, 2018 was certainly a great year for us. We launched the Derek Bell book, 'All my Porsche races' and the Ford book, 'The Cars you Always Promised Yourself', which have kept us on our toes. It was amazing to meet Derek at the book launch in Reading, and a great pleasure to work with Steve Saxty. If you haven’t bought them already, these two books would make a fantastic addition to any library. Both have that personal touch and you really feel as though you are with the author as you read their stories.
Despite continued growth, Porter Press remains a small publishing company. Small enough to be able to focus on what really matters and keep our customers at the forefront of what we do. With the launch of our new website this year we are hoping to improve your shopping experience. We are looking at many new and exciting features such as a loyalty scheme, currency conversion, a new easy search bar and much, much more.
We will also be attending more events in 2019. After last year’s very wintry Goodwood Members’ Meeting, we are going to be braving the cold again and it will be one of our first events of the year, so please do come and say hello on 6th & 7th April.
Social media is another aspect we will be reviewing. I am sure you are aware we have multiple social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. If you are not aware of our channels, please do check them out as we will be posting lots of exciting and informative content throughout the year.
Although we will be busy, we will always have time to respond to any suggestions, questions or queries you may have. We love hearing new ideas and we really appreciate feedback as it helps us to improve the service we give.
Thank you all again for your custom and enthusiasm over the past year, and we look forward to hearing from you in 2019.
Best regards,
Albert Wall
