Book of the year

Just finished Ultimate E-type- the Competition cars. Thoroughly enjoyed it an incredible amount of research obviously went into it which I guess you must have enjoyed at least when it was finished! Although not a Jaguar nut ( more GT40, I have a Mk V ), I remember the lightweight Es in period, especially Graham Hill, Roy Salvadori, and more locally, Roger Mac and **** Protheroe. I hope it gets you Book of the Year accolade if there is one. It certainly gets mine.

I am in awe

I am in awe at this absolute masterpiece. it goes off the kitchen scales but must weigh in at about 2.5 kilos, and all I can say is that there is not a wasted word. I have skimmed it and am now re-reading it properly, but I suggest that you up the price and supply a book lectern with each copy! It has also come in very handy as a reference point on the new Mike Wrigley car which I saw at Silverstone and which has the original long nose. I have no idea if you have seen this photo, but here are all four reunited for the first time in forty years at RS Panels with the new shell. My felicitations to you, and I have mentioned it as highly recommended in articles both in South Africa and Australia. It is worth every penny, and like others of the same ilk will, I am sure and certain, be found in years to come at exorbitant prices when the print run is finished.

The Ultimate E-Type Book.

A short note to say how pleased I am with my new book Ultimate E-Type, I would be obliged if you would pass on my personal congratulations to Philip. It is, without doubt, the finest reference book in my (very large) collection. I have been making large scale models of all types of historic racing cars for well over 20 years and naturally rely heavily on books such as this I just wish it had been published several years ago! Again, thank you this is, without any doubt, The Ultimate E-Type Book.
